Officially registered in 1995, our roots trace back to the late 1980s when we began by crafting handmade Diwali diyas, Laxmi-Ganesha idols, and beautiful Plaster of Paris showpieces. These traditional creations reflected the vibrant spirit of Indian festivals and homes.

Our Evolution

As time moved forward, so did our artistry. We embraced evolving trends while holding firmly to our roots. From fancy terracotta diyas to hand-painted matkis, every piece was designed to celebrate Indian culture with eco-friendly materials and sustainable methods.

The Birth of Aakar Candles

In 2013, our creative journey took a new turn with the birth of Aakar Candles, the candle division of Shri Ji Art & Craft. At that time, floating candles were largely imported from China — and the Indian market lacked local options that matched in quality and appeal.

Fueled by passion and patriotism, we decided to challenge the status quo.

By 2015, Aakar Candles made its mark. Our Made in India floating candles began to shine — not just in homes, but also in hearts. Indian buyers gave us their trust, and we proudly earned our place in the candle industry.
